Each year the Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board prepares an annual Local Labour Market Plan Report (Trends, Opportunities and Priorities). The purpose of this report is to use local labour market information derived from a variety of sources, including data from the 2006 census, Statistics Canada, Canadian Business Patterns, and consultations with local businesses, government organizations, educators and service providers. This data helps to provide “evidence-based” information regarding the challenges facing the local labour market.
This report will help to identify trends in the local labour market and identify actions that will address these concerns.
The Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board looks at the areas surrounding and including Huntsville, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Orillia, Barrie, Midland, Penetanguishene, Collingwood, Alliston, Bradford West Gwillimbury and Innisfil.
